Comment from Instructor Yamauchi

I am honored to be able to participate in the international Olympic Games as a member of ICU. I believe I was able to get such a valuable opportunity because of the warm support I am receiving from everyone at ICU. I will do my best on and off the pitch with a sense of gratitude to you all, including the students.

The responsibility of the referees is to ensure a safe and fair game environment. I will do my best to appropriately support the chief referee control the game, so that the players, who have made it through the tough preliminary rounds, can perform at their very best. Furthermore, by fulfilling this responsibility, I hope to contribute to international peace through sports.

I will prepare myself for the Olympic Games, both body and mind, so that I will be able to deliver the level of performance I always try to deliver. I will take pride as a member of ICU when I stand on the pitch in Rio de Janeiro.
