ICU is a single college of liberal arts, which offers 32 majors. Students do not need to choose a major before entering ICU. After exploring various topics in general education and foundation courses, students decide on their major by the end of their sophomore year.

Students, who study in the College of Liberal Arts for four years, acquire proficiency in English and Japanese, obtain the required number of units and present a senior thesis, are awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts.
