The Center was established on ICU campus under cooperation with Rotary International in the U.S. as one of the six Rotary Centers for International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution located in five different countries. Other partner universities include: the University of California at Berkeley; Duke University (jointly hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) (USA); University of Bradford (UK); University of Queensland (Australia) and Universidad del Salvador (Argentina). ICU was selected as the only institution in Asia.

In advancing our international commitment, ICU participated in the program ‘Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship’ (JDS). The program has been funded since 2001 by Japan’s Official Development Assistance, and, including ICU, has the participation of 20 universities in Japan. This program has brought promising young government officers, practitioners and researchers from various countries to study at the Graduate School. ICU has accepted the JDS Fellows from the Philippines, Vietnam, China and others countries.
