Farewell Party for AY2015 International Students Held

On June 12 (Fri), Japanese Language Programs and Student Affairs Group held a farewell party for students graduating in June, and exchange students studying at ICU.
Dean of Students Tatsuo Nunoshiba (Major: Biology, Environmental Studies) was in charge of the proceedings. Dean of International Affairs Shaun K. Malarney (Major: Anthropology), Associate Professor Christopher Bondy (Major: Sociology, Japan Studies) gave messages with episodes from their study abroad experience, and the pleasant talk was held in a congenial mood.
After the pleasant talk, two students gave speeches as representatives of the exchange students. In fluent Japanese, they said, "Japan, Tokyo, and ICU, all were wonderful places" "Taking lectures in Japanese was hard work, but it was extremely worthwhile" "Living in the dorm was truly enjoyable." They also expressed their gratitude to the school faculty and their friends.
The party ended with words of encouragement from Kazumi Tanaka, Professor and Director, Japanese Language Programsto the students who took the Japanese Language Program.
