Why has ICU adopted the GPA system?

Grade Point Average (GPA) is used to attach a numerical value to students' academic achievements. This system is used worldwide to judge candidates applying for scholarships or study abroad programs. At ICU, it is used to facilitate study abroad programs and to provide effective guidance and advice to meet students' goals.

By expressing grades in number form, GPA gives students an objective way to look at their academic performance levels and provides faculty members with a valuable resource for advising students more effectively on what courses to take.
