Why are the student dormitories based on double occupancy?

All ICU student dormitories are located on campus and value a culture of "dialogue." It is through this dialogue between residents who have gathered from all over the world that students are able to learn about respect for human rights and diversity and about the sharing of roles and responsibilities.

For this reason, an environment that fosters dialogue among residents has been established in the dormitories. This is why they are based on double occupancy. For the same reason, the individual rooms do not have their own kitchens. Instead, residents prepare their meals in the common kitchen, and there are common living areas, known as Social Rooms, in each dormitory, or on each dormitory floor.
