ICU Flying Disc Club ICU WINDS wins 3rd Place in East Japan Ultimate Freshmen's Cup
Update: April 13, 2016

The 21st East Japan Ultimate Freshmen's Cup (hosted by the Tokyo Flying Disc Association) was held on March 23 (Wed) and 24 (Thu), at the Edogawa Riverbed Shinozaki Greenery Park (Edogawa Ward, Tokyo). ICU's flying disc club, ICU WINDS won 3rd place among 27 teams from 26 universities participating in the open division.
ICU WINDS also won 3rd place among 69 teams that participated from across Japan in the "All Japan University Rookies Ultimate Championships 2015" which took place in autumn, 2015. This makes 3rd place twice in a row.
Comment by ICU WINDS captain, Kentaro Nakao (third-year student of College of Liberal Arts ICU)
It's such a pity that we couldn't win the semifinal game, that is, two times in a row. We were so determined to get to the finals this time. Although we do have our regrets, I think the fact that we were able to come in 3rd place in two consecutive tournaments proves that our team ability is steadily improving. We will practice hard so that we can reach the finals and win the championship next time. We hope many ICU students and faculty can come and see us playing in the finals in the University Championships to be held in September. Thank you for your continued support.
