ICU alumnus and former professor Yozo Yokota to receive decoration

The Japanese government announced the recipients of this year's spring decorations on Saturday, April 29. Included among the recipients is an ICU alumnus and former professor, Yozo Yokota (class of 1964, former Chairman of the ILO Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations, current President of the Center for Human Rights Education and Training). The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon will be conferred on Professor Yokota.

After graduating from the ICU's College of Liberal Arts, Division of Social Sciences (then), he became a tenured instructor at the university in 1964 and then served as associate professor and professor, becoming Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts in 1981. In 1985, he served as head of the Division of Public Administration.
