Exchange Students' Get-together Held

Update: January 25, 2018

Exchange students gathered for interaction on Friday, January 19. The event brought together students who were participating in the International Exchange and Study Abroad programs in the 2018-2019 academic year as well as those from overseas partner universities currently studying at ICU. Students who had returned to Japan after completing their studies in other countries also participated.

They split into groups according to their destination or origin―"Asia, Oceania and Europe (except the UK)," "the UK" and "North America"―and mingled together in three separate places.

The meeting began with students who had studied overseas and those from ICU's partner universities talking about the classes and universities they had attended. They gave a variety of advice to the students taking part in 2018-2019 programs, including the preparations they had made before leaving Japan that later proved useful as well as things they thought they should have done.

They divided later into groups and held discussions on "What I hope to accomplish while studying overseas." When they assembled again at the end, the 2018-2019 students were talking to international students and those with overseas study experiences and trying actively to get information about the countries where they were going to study.
