Ukrainian Student Wins the Outstanding Performance Award at the Koganei City Japanese Speech Contest

Daria, an Ukrainian student currently studying at ICU, won the outstanding performance award at the 10th Koganei City Japanese Speech Contest (organized by Koganei city), which was held on March 4, 2023.

Daria made a speech on the similarities between Ukraine and Japan which she noticed through living in Japan, and included various examples when introducing traditional events, food, and the thoughts of people. The wonderful content of Daria's speech and her expressiveness was well received and she won the outstanding performance award.

After the award ceremony, Daria received a card from the Deputy Mayor of Koganei City, which included thoughts about to her speech.
