A Dialogue-based Event for ICU Students and Faculty Members was Held: "Dialogue: Let's Think Together! Let's Achieve What We Want to Do on Campus!"

"Dialogue: Let's Think Together! Let's Achieve What We Want to Do on Campus!", a dialogue-based event for ICU students and faculty members, was held on Friday, June 16.

Thirteen students and eight faculty members attended this event which aims to address students' requests to implement various activities on the university campus by identifying missing factors or barriers towards its implementation and to utilize the information gained here towards the future development of the ICU campus.

Prior to the opening of the event, Mr. Takashi Nakajima, Managing Trustee for Financial Affairs, gave a speech stating that "ICU's aim is to continue being a university that excites students. Please give your opinions freely today so that we can achieve this aim. We hope to include the ideas raised here today in future competitions and utilize them towards the future development of ICU campus."

At the event, students and faculty members were divided into three groups where they exchanged opinions regarding the use of the vast natural surroundings of ICU campus for camping, creating and broadcasting a program which introduces attractiveness of ICU, and providing a sauna. The response to these respective ideas were as follows: the rules are acting as a barrier, it would be best to create a platform to gather like-minded people, and it would be necessary to establish new facilities and equipment. Active discussions among the participants continued during the entire event.

The opinions and ideas which were raised at this event will be reported to the university's Campus Development Committee which plans to examine the future development of a campus that reflects the voices of students.
