Major Poster Session: Faculty welcoming new students entering in September
Update: September 7, 2023

The Major Poster Session was held on Thursday 31 August in the Troyer Memorial Arts and Sciences Building (T-kan).
The 'Major Poster Session' is an event in which posters with compact information on each of the 31 majors are displayed in Hub Central (first floor) and the Student Common Space (second and third floor) in T-kan, allowing new students to interact with faculty from each major present at the event.
The new students who enrolled this autumn spent their time stopping in front of posters of majors they were interested in, talking to faculty members, and asking questions about what they could learn in that major. The venue was filled with fresh energy, and the faculty responded enthusiastically.
On a trial basis, the event was also open to current students who wished to participate. For second-year students, in particular, who are about to choose their majors, the opportunity to meet the faculty members from various majors was valuable.
The venue was guided by ICU Brothers and Sisters (IBS), who usually provide advice on academic planning from the students' point of view. They were very reliable and resourceful in answering questions from new students about the ICU curriculum.
