ICU Apostles Gets Promoted to KCFA Division 2

ICU American Football Team Apostles won the block championship in the 2023 Kantoh Collegiate Football Association (KCFA) Division 3 League. Thereafter, in the Division 2/Division 3 promotion/relegation playoff game held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, the Apostles earned a victory over Saitama University. This win has promoted the ICU team to Division 2 for the first time in 15 years.
Comment from the Team Representative:
"Last year, we won the Division 3 League title. Then, we progressed to a promotion/relegation playoff and landed a victory in the game. As a result, we were promoted to Division 2 of the KCFA for the first time in 15 years, which had been our dream. Two years ago, we lost a promotion/relegation playoff game. We have since been in vigorous training sessions with a strong determination to move up to Division 2 and we finally made it this time. We are very grateful to our families, friends, ICU alumni, and others who have supported us throughout the years.
This year, we, the Apostles, will be in Division 2. This is totally a new stage for us. I will give myself a jump-start and make an effort to step up our team's level of play so we can consistently win in the division. We appreciate your continued support and guidance as all our team members will strive to work harder toward achieving the dream of getting promoted to Division 1 for the first time in the history of the Apostles."
