Special Lecture by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan at ICU

On February 8th, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan, Dr. Sergiy Korsunsky, visited ICU Senior Associate Professor Nagy's course, "Introduction to Foreign Policy", and gave a lecture to the 60 or so students and members of the ICU community present. Dr. Korsunsky gave a detailed description of the current situation in Ukraine and incorporated various perspectives, including historical context, into his explanation of the ongoing crisis.

Everyone gave their full attention to Dr. Korsunsky during the lecture and afterwards asked many questions, each of which the ambassador answered thoughtfully and kindly. During his talk, Dr. Korsunsky touched on Japan's diverse, ongoing assistance to Ukraine and anticipated the possibility that Japan's knowledge and technological capabilities, gained from numerous experiences of recovering from natural disasters, could be beneficial for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
