Z-Hai (a Softball Tournament Held to Welcome New Students) Was Held
Update: May 28, 2024

In the tournament, players batted, pitched, and ran with excitements all through. Only for 10 minutes, it was suspended out of a concern for safety when sounds of thunder were heard early afternoon.
Many people, including numerous families of alumni, were present on Sunday. Their cheers and smiles brought a friendly, peaceful atmosphere to the tournament and the event successfully ended with no significant injuries on either side.
This year, "B99", a team started by the first class of ICU High School in 1978 when they were in the first grade, which continuously participated to this tournament since its founding, won for the first time in 25 years since its first victory in 1979, and "Kimura Seminar" took the second place.
With the recent discontinuation of sports events such as the ISL (ICU Intramural Soccer League) and the university relay race--events that students and alumni of the Showa and Heisei generations greatly enjoyed--this tournament has become the only university sports event ICU families can join in.
ICU plans to continue this tournament for many more people to participate.
