Dormitory Staff and Student Exchange Event between Keio SFC and ICU
Update: November 14, 2024

On November 7, 2024, an exchange event was held at the International Christian University (ICU) campus between the dormitory staff and students (dormitory residents) of Keio University's Shonan Fujisawa Campus (hereafter, SFC) and those of ICU. SFC, having recently opened its student dormitory, H-Village (where 'H' stands for 'Heta'), in 2023, included ICU in its tour of various university dormitories and facilities. This exchange meeting provided a forum for sharing insights to enrich student life. While meetings between dormitory staff from different universities have taken place before, this was the first time that ICU dormitory residents had a meeting with dormitory residents from another university.
At the meeting, an overview of each university's dormitory management and initiatives was first introduced. This was followed by specific discussions on various ideas and issues in dormitory management, with participants divided into groups of dormitory staff and dormitory residents from each university. Through this exchange, students gained valuable insights into enhancing dormitory life, making it a highly meaningful experience.
This exchange was an opportunity for the dormitory management to take on a new perspective for future dormitory management and for students to learn from one another and strengthen their connections.
