Evacuation Drill Held for Dormitory Residents
Update: November 15, 2024

On the early morning of Saturday, November 9, 2024, an evacuation drill was conducted for dormitory residents. The purpose of the drill is to ensure the safety of students by actually experiencing the procedures to follow in the event of an emergency such as an earthquake or fire. With many residents living on ICU campus, an evacuation drill is held once a year, and 483 dormitory residents participated in this year's drill.
The main objectives of this drill were to confirm evacuation routes and guide students to designated gathering point. Upon hearing the emergency broadcast, residents promptly began to move, heading to their assigned gathering point and reporting the number of evacuees from each dormitory and floor. Through this practical training, students had the opportunity to develop skills for acting quickly and calmly in an emergency.
After the drill, the Dean of Students and the Director of the University Secretariat gave their comments, emphasizing the importance of regular preparedness given the frequent disasters in recent times and encouraging continued cooperation and awareness for quick responses.
