ICU Comes in First Among Private Universities in THE Japan University Rankings 2025

Japan University Ranking 2025 put together by the British educational magazine the Times Higher Education (THE) was released on Thursday, April 3.
ICU was ranked 11th overall and first among private universities in Japan.
ICU was also ranked first overall universities for its pillars of "engagement"

The Times Higher Education Japan University Rankings 2025 consist of four broad "pillars"―"resources", "engagement", "outcomes" and "environment"―and 16 individual performance metrics to provide overall evaluations of education at universities in Japan.

In this ranking, ICU was ranked first overall universities for its pillars of "engagement" which consists students' evaluation of their own universities - Interaction with the staff and faculty, collaboation with their peers, support for critical thinking skills, etc., and ranked 3rd overall universities for its pillars of "environment" evaluated by such as the proportions of international students and faculties.
