The Summer Open Campus events have concluded
Update: August 19, 2025

This summer, ICU held Open Campus events at the Mitaka Campus over a total of four days, starting with the Open Campus on Saturday, July 5th (a program conducted all in English), July 19, August 15 and August 16. We welcomed many visitors from Japan and abroad.
A variety of programs were offered, including a comprehensive introduction to ICU by President Shoichiro Iwakiri and Professor Kei Nasu, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, special talks by ICU alumni, and model lectures across a broad range of disciplines, all reflecting the spirit of ICU's liberal arts education. Many high school students and prospective applicants stayed after the model lectures to engage in conversations with faculty members.

Student-led programs such as campus tour, the "talk tables" where visitors could casually ask questions to ICU students, and a panel discussion hosted by dormitory residents. Visitors asked students many questions about campus life which helped dispel their concerns and uncertainties about life after entering college.

We received many positive comments from the participants: "I found the kind of college student I want to become," "I was captivated by the atmosphere and ICU's educational approach," "Hearing directly from students made me more determined to apply," "The model lectures were interesting and made me want to take more lectures from that professor," and "The lush, spacious campus felt very comfortable."
We sincerely thank all prospective students and their families who attended despite the summer heat. ICU will continue to offer both in-person and online events in hope you will join us again.
