Why does the Dining Hall not use disposable containers for take-out?

After a proposal put forward by a group of students, the Dining Hall introduced recyclable containers, known as "Re-repacks" for its take-out containers in the 2013 academic year.

These containers are wrapped in a thin film. This film is removed after use, so the recovered containers can be sent to a recycling factory and recycled into plastic chips.

ICU has declared its commitment to environmental mindfulness and stewardship in all its activities. As a responsible global citizen, it will continue to promote such environmentally-conscious initiatives.
