Conclusion of comprehensive collaboration agreement with Nagasaki University

International Christian University and Nagasaki University announced the signing of a comprehensive collaboration agreement, and the signing ceremony for which was held at Nagasaki University on Friday, March 8.

With this agreement, in addition to the existing joint researches carried out by researchers of both universities, ICU and Nagasaki University aim to strengthen the collaborations and cooperation in wide-ranging fields more than ever before, such as sharing of teaching and scientific resources for undergraduate and graduate students, and strive to develop academics and nurture human resources.

"ICU's mission is to nurture internationally minded human resources who will contribute to world peace, which is just one of the many things it has in common with the mission of Nagasaki University, and we would like to promote this collaboration going forward," said ICU president Junko Hibiya, speaking at the agreement signing ceremony. "We would like to cooperate in the areas of education, research, contribution to local community, industry-academy collaboration and international exchange, and plan to promote credit transfer and interaction between researchers," said Shigeru Kohno, Nagasaki University's president in his address.

Going forward, the universities plan to enhance their collaboration into wide-ranging fields, raising the expectations on improvement in quality of the education and research at both universities.
