Interview of Hirotaka Takeuchi, Chair of the ICU Board of Trustees and Shoichiro Iwakiri, President

An interview titled "Creating a better future through liberal arts education" with Hirotaka Takeuchi, Chair of the ICU Board of Trustees and Shoichiro Iwakiri, President was published in The Japan Times as advertisement article of 'Top Global Universities in Japan'. They talk about the future of liberal arts education and the ICU's role in the world.

We also posted an interview with Yuta Okuyama, who earned his master's degree in Interpreting and Translation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) this past summer.

ICU has offered "Accelerated Entry Program", a master's degree program in the areas of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Teaching Foreign Languages (TFL), interpreting and translation, and international policy and development with MIIS since 2017. This Accelerated Entry Program enables students to obtain both a bachelor's degree from ICU and a master's degree from MIIS in as little as five and a half years.
