ICU's Top Global University Project efforts receive highest rating for two consecutive years

Update: March 9, 2021

On March 5 (Fri.), the second interim evaluation results of the Top Global University Project (AY2014 - 2023) were announced. This is one of university support projects by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. According to the evaluation results, ICU received a rating of S, the highest rating, which was given to eight universities out of a total of 37.

ICU received an S rating in the last midterm evaluation conducted in AY 2018 as well. This means that its efforts for promoting further internationalization were highly acclaimed for two consecutive years.

This year's interim evaluation particularly recognized "the considerable efforts invested by ICU not only in education and learning but also university administration to thoroughly deliver bilingual liberal arts education, admit students with diverse language backgrounds, and provide sufficient language education."

While appreciating the evaluation results as a significant achievement and a milestone of the seven years since the start of the project, ICU is committed to make further efforts in the three years to come.
