Update: November 12, 2021

As a part of the Faculty Development Program, "Successful Internationalization: Educational Best Practices at ICU", an interactive discussion session on "Best Practices in Education", was jointly held online by the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Top Global University Project Office.

The 2nd event was hosted by Ikumi Ozawa, Senior Lecturer, Japanese Language Programs, on October 18, 2021, and was titled "From EMI to JMI (Japanese Medium Instruction: An adaptation of EMI Pedagogy in Higher Education in Japan". 69 people from outside the organization registered for the event, and about 57 people attended on the day. The presentation introduced scaffolding and points to consider when applying the EMI teaching method to Japanese language education.

Future plans include "University-led Science Classes for Children and the Significance of Science Education" by Professor Hideki Okamura, Department of Natural Sciences (Physics Major), on November 15, 2021.
