ICU Student Wins a Prize at the "XR Learning IDEATHON TOKYO"

Ms. Erina Yamaguchi, a third-year liberal arts student at ICU, majoring in Information Science and minoring in Business, won first prize at XR Learning IDEATHON TOKYO, which was held at TUNNEL TOKYO and the Deloitte Tohmatsu Innovation Park between April 10 (Monday)- April 28 (Friday), 2023.

Outline of the Award Event
The aim of the event is to make a proposal which utilizes XR for the public relations of four companies: Dentsu Digital Inc, Sports Biz Co., Ltd, Shueisha Inc., and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC. Ms. Yamaguchi and the other members in her team devised a project that used VPR technology in AR, then they created a prototype, and gave a presentation. At the event, they initially received lectures on digital marketing, and subsequently envisaging Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting as a client, devised AR content for an event targeting university students searching for a job, and furthermore, created a prototype using Blender and 8thwall.
Comment on receiving the award:
I am deeply honored to win the award this year. Interacting with diverse people at ICU has enabled me to absorb a wide range of knowledge, as well as gaining specialized knowledge through my major in information technology. I feel that the breadth and depth of my studies has led to this award. I hope to further deepen my learning as well as outputting the knowledge which I have gained. Furthermore, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the other members in my team who supported each other, as well as the management and our mentors.
