ICU Received a Donation of Wireless Guide Systems from the Tokyo Mitaka Rotary Club

Update: December 5, 2024

On November 25, a presentation ceremony was held to commemorate the donation of wireless guide systems (3 sets of 10 units each) by the Tokyo Mitaka Rotary Club. These systems are intended for use in campus tours and other activities.

The Tokyo Mitaka Rotary Club regularly donates equipment and other items to organizations active in Mitaka.
This time, as part of their effort to support groups contributing to environmental conservation in Mitaka City, they decided to donate the wireless guide systems to ICU, which features the "ICU Mitaka Campus Woodland" that has designated as a "Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Natural Site" by Japan's Ministry of Environment in 2023, for supporting the continuation of its environmental activities.

The presentation ceremony was attended by 6 members of the Tokyo Mitaka Rotary Club, including Club President Sumio Yoshida, while representatives from ICU included President Shoichiro Iwakiri, Managing Trustee for General Affairs Tetsuro Tomioka, and Managing Trustee for Financial Affairs Takashi Nakajima. During the presentation, President Yoshida talked about the significance of our university's nature-rich campus in the Mitaka area and expressed his hope that the wireless guide systems would be used effectively to share the beauty of this natural environment with local residents and beyond.

ICU conducts nature guide tours on campus and are planning to make full use of the wireless guide systems in such tours and other related activities in the future.
