ICU Karuta Project: E-fuda Wanted! Submit photos that match the chosen Yomifuda (reading cards). (Applicants: ICU students, Faculty and staff of ICU, Alumni and ICU Community members)

The 44 Yomifuda (reading cards) packed with your memories and relatable ICU experiences have been finalized. As the final step of the project, we are officially calling for E-fuda (picture cards) to accompany these texts.
We welcome photos capturing campus scenery, student life, memorable events, or iconic buildings that express the world of each Yomifuda. We look forward to receiving your entries!
The completed ICU Karuta set will be used for events such as Homecoming Day on Sunday, May 16, 2027, and used as official university commemorative gifts.

What We Are Looking For |
We are seeking E-fuda (picture cards) corresponding to the 44 finalized Yomifuda (reading cards). The medium for submission is limited to photography. •Click here to view the list of finalized Yomifuda. •Images/photos submitted alongside Yomifuda in the previous phase will automatically be considered for selection. |

Application Guideline
Submissions to the contest are regarded as agreement to the guidelines below:
- Each idea must only be entered once, but there is no limit to the number of unique entries that a participant may submit.
- All works will be published under the nickname you provide upon entry.
- Submissions must be your own original, unpublished work. Entries that violate third-party rights (copyrights, portrait rights) or include offensive/defamatory language will be disqualified.
- All copyrights, including those which are applicable under Article 27 and Article 28 of the Copyright Act in Japan, belong to ICU.
- To ensure visibility, layout fit, and print quality for the card game, the Secretariat may crop or adjust the colors of the submitted photos.
- Applicants agree to the translation (including paraphrasing) of their work by the Secretariat for a potential English edition of the Karuta.
