For Counselors and Recommenders
Thank you for your support for students applying to our undergraduate program.
Please follow the steps below to submit the required supporting documents.
1. Prepare the required documents
Prepare the required documents listed below for supporting the student's application to ICU:
*Click "For Counselors" or "For Recommenders" below to switch.
- Official Transcript |
---|
A high (upper secondary) school transcript and/or term reports are required, which should cover all courses and grades in the last three years, including the final (senior) year.
*If the courses of the final (senior) year are ongoing and not included in the transcript... Attach a first quarter/semester or mid-year report separately. The same goes with a list of courses progressing or to be taken in the final semester/year. If not specified in the transcript, add another file to convey it. *If graduating early or skipping a grade... Submit an official document to that effect. If clarified in the transcript, that alone will suffice. |
- School Report (.docx / .pages) |
"School Report" is something that ICU asks all counselors to complete in the same format and submit along with high school transcript to supplement the required information. If there is no counselor at your school, please ask another official (in an appropriate position responsible for documenting student academic progress) to complete this form.
|
- Required Documents by Country/Region/Educational System |
A set of documents that verifies the applicant's (expected) completion of (upper) secondary education and thus proves the applicant's (prospective) qualification for university entrance in their country/region/educational system is needed. Detailed requirements differ according to the country/region/educational system (see the above link for more details).
|
- Predicted IB Grades Report (.docx) / .pages)(if applicable) |
If the school has its own report format, you may use it and do not need to use this form.
|
2. Upload the documents through the Submission Portal
Upload the documents through the Submission Portal. To utilize the system, you must create an account and inform the applicant of your login ID and registered email address so that the applicant can send you an upload request through the Online Application System (OAS). For more detailed instructions, refer to the manual linked below.
How to Upload the Requested Documents
-
!! Please Be Aware:
- When creating an OAS account, applicants agree to authorize all requested information and records to be released to the University. They also agree to waive the right to review confidential letters of recommendation.
- Please use your official email account (with a school domain) for registration to the Submission Portal. If a private free email service such as Gmail is used, we might ask your affiliated institution to verify the sender's identity.
- If you have technical difficulties using the portal, we may accept the file(s) via email attachment. Make sure to use an official email account for that purpose, too. Or you may mail the documents.
- All documents must be prepared in English. Documents in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official translation into English prepared by a school official or an official agency such as an embassy.
A1: If you have technical difficulties using the submission portal, we may accept the file(s) via email attachment. Make sure to use an official email account with a school domain so that we can verify the sender's identity.
*(For Recommenders) Make sure to complete the information sheet (.docx / .pages) and attach it to your letter of recommendation when emailing.
A2: Yes. Once the submission portal opens, the applicant may request that you upload the required documents to the system even before the application period starts. If it is before the submission portal opens, email the file(s) directly to the Admissions Center. In that case, make sure to use your official email account with the school domain so we can identify the sender's identity.
A3: ICU accepts documents by postal mail, too. Here is the mailing address:
