<4月/9月入学>English Language Based Admissions
In line with its goal to cultivate responsible global citizens, ICU seeks to admit students, irrespective of nationality, who can strive academically and personally at ICU. Type A applicants for English Language Based Admissions (April/September Entry) undergo a documentary screening process in English, which requires submission of SAT, ACT Plus Writing, IB, or GCE A Level scores. If they do not fall into the Type A criteria, applicants take an online interview in addition to a documentary screening (this track is called Type B). Admission decisions are made holistically, and all the components are equally important, from academic transcripts, application essays, and letters of recommendation to the standardized test scores (for Type A applicants) or the online interview (for Type B applicants). The admissions process aims to identify students who can perform at a superior level in a liberal arts environment. Moreover, coming from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, students are expected to enrich the ICU student body with different and innovative ways to meet the challenges of the new global age.

Type A：書類選考のみ
Type Aは、主に日本やアメリカの高校卒業資格、国際バカロレア資格やイギリス式のGCE A Levelを取得（見込み）の方を対象とし、SAT、ACT Plus Writing、IB Diploma、GCE A Levelいずれかのスコアの提出が必要です。 Type B：書類選考＋オンライン個人面接 Type Bは、Type A の資格に当てはまらない国や地域から出願される方を対象とし、書類選考に加えてオンライン個人面接が行われます。上記のスコアを有している場合は、Type Aに出願することも可能です。（併願は不可） ※日本または米国の高校を卒業（見込み）の方はタイプAの対象です。タイプAで有効なSATまたは
ACT Plus Writingのスコアを準備できなかったことを理由に、タイプBに進むことはできません。 ※IBはFull Diploma が必要です。IB Certificate を取得（見込み）の方は、他の有効な卒業資格等を 有していない限り、タイプA、Bのいずれにも出願することはできません。 ※イギリス式の教育制度の学校で学ばれた方はタイプAの対象です。出願の要件として GCE A Level を少なくとも2科目取得（見込み）であることが必要です。GCE A Level を取得（見込み）でない ことを理由に、タイプBに進むことはできません。 ※学校が複数の認証を受けており、タイプAとタイプBのいずれにも該当する場合は、2つのタイプの どちらかを選択して出願することができます。例えば、カナダの学校（タイプB）が国際 バカロレア資格のカリキュラム（タイプA）とのデュアルプログラムを提供している場合などが 該当します。 |

- 日本国籍を保持していない者が本学に入学するには、日本での適法な在留資格が必要となります。合格通知書受領後に行う入学手続きが完了していても、適法な在留資格を取得できなかった場合は本学への入学は許可されません。なお 本学が出入国在留管理庁に対して在留資格認定証明書を代理申請した場合、申請の結果について本学は一切の責任を負いません。
Those who do not hold Japanese nationality must have or obtain valid residence status in Japan to enroll in ICU. Even if you complete the required entrance procedure after receiving a notification of acceptance from ICU, if you fail to obtain valid residence status in Japan, you will not be allowed to enroll in ICU. Even if ICU applies to the Immigration Services Agency of Japan for the Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) on your behalf, ICU assumes no responsibility for the results of the CoE application.
